Culver City Residence

Driven by a design to create a unique entry experience, providing both privacy and rainwater catchment, this project also sought to offer a neighborhood-facing green space. A wood deck leads visitors over a dry streambed to the home’s front door through a forest of African Sumac trees and perennial grasses. A sideyard garden is transformed into a play space with Gingko trees behind the privacy of a lavender starflower screen.
