Having fun with plants

Fostering connection between people and plants is one of the most rewarding parts of our work. Our mild California climate supports a unique range of native species as well as jewels from the botanic world. Take the time to explore appropriate species that thrive in your garden’s microclimate and have fun creating a living tapestry of colors, fragrance, texture. Think about what is meaningful to you about plants and use species that support that meaning. One of our favorite projects was with a client who uses plants to create natural textile dyes for their artwork. Other clients use species that draw in birds and wildlife, while others focus on cut flowers, edibles, or simply strange and sculptural botanical wonders.
