Mar Vista Residence #3

  • This Mar Vista garden was designed as an immersive retreat centered around the client’s love of wild, naturalistic planting and edible gardens. A series of wood decks steps through the landscape, creating spaces for dining, lounging, and gathering while integrating a spa into the garden itself. Lush grasses, flowering perennials, fruiting plants, and dense layers of greenery soften the geometry of the decks and create a sense of immersion. Stone paths weave through the planting, inviting exploration and connecting the garden’s different spaces. Once a flat lawn, the property has been transformed into a playful, intimate landscape that feels abundant, natural, and deeply connected to everyday life outdoors.
